La provincia is a family-business located in a quiet forest garden in Zalesie Górne near Warsaw. The owners - Ania, a producer of commercials, and January, an actor, inspired by Italian trattoria, decided to bring a bit of sunny Italy to their home. In 2009, with the professional help of an acclaimed chef, Luk, they opened the Italian restaurant in the brick-wall basement under their house, where pizza is made in a wood-burning stove. The name „Provincia" implies traditional approach to cuisine and pizza, and „la" stands for a pint of trends in modern cuisine .
The restaurant is exceptional for the quality of its dishes, author's pizza recipes and a la carte dishes. The menu is rooted in slow food philosophy – high quality seasonal products, including super foods, such as: beetroots, or sunroots, combined with traditional Italian dishes like risotto.
Home-made, high quality dishes and a casual atmosphere promoted by the surrounding garden full of old forest trees with squirrels hopping by is what makes La provincial special among other restaurants.
